Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
- Develop personalised treatment plans and objectives to improve patients’ functional abilities.
- Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions in various clinical and community settings.
- Continuously evaluate and document clients progress, adjusting treatment plans as required.
- Educate clients, families, and caregivers on effective strategies for promoting independence.
- Collaborate with other Allied Health Professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in Occupational Therapy through ongoing professional development.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of Occupational Therapy practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Excellent clinical skills and deep knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles and techniques.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a passion for improving patients’ lives.
- Experience with diverse patient populations and age groups is advantageous.
- Specialisation or certification in areas such as paediatrics or geriatrics is a plus.
